Beginners Level 1

Our classes are suitable for complete beginners. You will rapidly develop your skills each week as we focus on technique and rhythms. Moves are broken down and rehearsed throughout the classes. You will learn how to isolate different parts of your body and move them in beautiful patterns and routines. Your flexibility level will improve as you build core muscle strength. All students will have an opportunity to learn a beautiful choreography.

Once upon completing Level 1 for Beginners, students will be able to carry on their learning and development as they progress further into Level 2.

We currently have two level 1 classes taking place at Holborn and Baker Street.

Course Content

  • Learn the posture used for Belly Dance movements
  • Learn how to isolate muscles and build core muscle strength
  • Explore the foundation of Belly Dance movements including hip, chest and arm combinations
  • Increase the fluidity of your hip, chest and arm movements
  • Learn Belly Dance travelling steps
  • Explore different patterns of movements in order to create vibrant combinations and choreography
  • Personally tailored feedback will be provided through the course.
